Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE)

Offered free of charge

This workshop is for Teacher Trainers or Technology Professional Development Leaders who work with teachers to integrate technology.

The Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Program is designed for teacher trainers, and those who are responsible for training educators, on the integration of technology in the classroom. The goal is to provide training toward student-centered learning based on authentic problems and projects while aligning to 21st Century Skills, NETS-S and Common Core Standards.

The overall intent is to provide training materials so that trainers may enable teachers to get more out of the Microsoft products they have today and take advantage of the many free tools available to students and educators, many at no-cost. This program is designed for K-12 teacher trainers across all subjects - developed by teachers and teacher trainers.

We have designed these events for people who teach or train other professionals. Each attendee commits to:

• Lead teacher professional development activities that reach a minimum of 100 teachers based on this seminar content in the upcoming school year.
• Contribute teacher professional development best practices, Learning Activities or Tutorials, to the Partners in Learning Network that will benefit other trainers or educators.
