Using Audience Response Systems to Engage ALL Learners

Leslee Francis Pelton, Associate Professor, University of Victoria
Copresenter: Tim Pelton, Assistant Professor; University of Victoria

Audience response systems (whether multiple choice clickers or electronic slates) increase student participation in classroom discussions. With these systems once students have committed to an answer to the current question they are intensely interested in evaluating their answers relative to other student answers. Effective use of these tools will be demonstrated.
