Outstanding Technology Leader of the Year Award

Pauline Bresnahan

This year's Outstanding Technology Leader for 2005 is described as the paradigm of leadership. She has positively impacted technology in education throughout her career: as a librarian in the Spokane School District, as the Assistant Director of the Teacher Leadership Project, and currently as the Instructional Technology Coordinator for the Spokane School District.

She has been a longtime member and volunteer of NCCE, presented at NCCE conferences, and continues to be an active promoter of NCCE within her district and throughout the state. She has an amazing ability to empower others and draw out the best in them. She is selfless, a lifelong learner, a team player, and is strongly committed to using technology to improve student learning. She leads with her heart, always keeping the students' best interest in everything she does.

She was selected as the Assistant Director of the Teacher Leadership Project, overseeing the training of over 3000 teachers in Washington State over the next three years, as well as teachers in 14 other states, including a three-year project in Mississippi. Ralph Nader once said "the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers." This highly respected educator has produced literally hundreds of leaders.

NCCE is proud to honor our 2005 Technology Leader of the Year: Pauline Bresnahan.
