(March 15, 2010)– (Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) – Rick Williams, Technology
teacher for Foothills Middle School in the Wenatchee School District, was
honored with the prestigious Northwest Council for Computer Education Eric
Jensen Leadership Award.He received
this award for his dedication and service on the board for 7 years for the NCCE
organization at the 39th Annual Conference held in Seattle,
Washington on March 5.NCCE hosts the
largest educational technology conference in the Pacific Northwest and
effectively brings together a partnership of communities – educators, corporate
friends and associations who are all dedicated to bringing the best technology
to offer to schools.
The Eric Jensen Leadership Award goes to an outstanding individual
who has provided leadership to NCCE organization and its members. Williams has
been extremely instrumental in coordinating prizes and working on the
technology team for the conferences for many years.This award recognizes his commitment to
making sure all students are prepared which reflects the spirit of past
president Eric Jensen.Eric Jensen was a
long time educator and technology leader in the Wenatchee School District.

years as active NCCE member and over 30 years of experience in education
technology is such an asset for our organization.He is a fantastic team member and I
appreciate his hard work.”“What makes
this such a special award is because Eric Jensen pushed so hard to get
technology education on the radar.The
fact that Rick Williams and Eric Jensen are both from Wenatchee, makes it more
meaningful,” stated Rogers.
