NCCE Announces a Partnership with Washington State's
Washington Learning Source

Recently, Northwest Council for Computer Education, NCCE, and Washington Learning Source, WLS, formed a new marketing partnership to increase awareness of educational opportunities for the state of Washington.

“This is the first time Northwest Council for Computer Education has teamed together with Educational Service Districts to market their educational technology products and services,” stated NCCE Executive Director Heidi Rogers. “We anticipate that it will be very successful for Washington and possibly other states in the future.”

The Washington Learning Source is a collaborative effort of the nine Washington educational service districts to provide premium access to products and services for school districts. “Our goal is to be the negotiators for the schools and vendors so that we represent the best deal for our school districts and ultimately save taxpayers money,” said Anne Allen, Director. “We are excited to start a new trend by partnering with such a large technology education organization as Northwest Council for Computer Education because it will give us a marketing edge that we could not get just by ourselves,” she stated.

NCCE will be hosting their annual technology in education conference in Spokane, Washington, on March 6-9, 2007. The theme of the 36th annual technology conference is “Agents of Change” and will be held at the Spokane Convention Center. Special events celebrating the WLS and NCCE partnership will occur at the Pavilion Showcase in the center of the Exhibit Hall during the conference.
